Let’s take a quick moment to talk about where we’ve been and where we’re headed as we approach the second half of the year and move into the third quarter. Recently, someone asked me why I believe Arizona is such a fantastic place to purchase a home. The answer lies in the continued equity, opportunities, and promising economic and investment outlook I see for the state. I’m very positive on Arizona, and here’s why:
- Growth in Jobs and Infrastructure: Arizona is experiencing significant growth in various sectors. Whether it’s jobs, infrastructure, or development along major freeways like the 303, 202, and 10, there are tremendous opportunities. Areas such as Queen Creek, Tempe, Buckeye, and Goodyear are seeing substantial growth. Particularly, the northwest area, including Peoria, Surprise, and North Phoenix, is becoming a hub of activity.
- The 303 Corridor: This area is a focal point of growth, not just because of the chip plant but also due to the supportive infrastructure that is developing around it. New jobs, hotels, restaurants, and other amenities are emerging, making it a vibrant area.
- Diversified Economy: Unlike in 2008, when the economy struggled due to a heavy reliance on construction and hospitality, Arizona has now diversified its economy. We have strong aerospace, technology (chip plants and computer industries), medical, and construction sectors, which insulate us from economic downturns.
Over the past two years, we’ve gone through a recession-like environment, and while it has been challenging, especially for sellers and buyers dealing with affordability issues, I believe we are on our way out. The market is balanced; we haven’t seen significant declines or increases. I anticipate a softening market, with potential interest rate decreases and price increases, making it a great time to buy before the market heats up again.
Peoria and North Phoenix are experiencing significant growth, starting with housing and followed by infrastructure development. Employment centers, driven by the chip plant and other activities, are thriving. As homes and jobs increase, so do entertainment options and amenities, enhancing the appeal. Improved air transport facilities further boost the attractiveness and accessibility of these areas.
The entire valley, including Queen Creek, Tempe, Goodyear, and Buckeye, has room for growth, and I’m thrilled about the future. Arizona is already a fantastic place to live, and it’s only going to get better. If you have any questions, feel free to call at (623) 297-4536!
